What it does
Setting up takes three short parts: create your login, add your business details, and connect your WhatsApp Business number. Once the number is connected, customers who message it get replies from ApnaBot, day and night.
When to use it
Perfect Fit Tailors
Ramesh runs a tailoring shop. Customers message him all day asking for prices and delivery dates. He signs up for ApnaBot so these questions get answered even while he is stitching.
Steps
Create your account
Open ApnaBot and tap Get Started. On Set up your shop, enter Your name, your email and a password (at least 6 characters).
Verify your email
We email you a 6-digit code. Type it in Verification code and tap Verify. No email? Check spam, or tap Resend code.
Add your business details
Log in. On Shop details, enter your Business Name, your city (optional), and pick What kind of business is it? Then tap Continue.
If you offer many kinds of services, pick Multi-Brand / Multiple Services and tick each service you offer.
Connect your WhatsApp Business number
First answer Is this number already on the WhatsApp Business app? and read the short note that appears:
- Yes, I use WhatsApp Business app on this number — update the WhatsApp Business app (version 2.24.17 or newer) and keep your phone nearby with the app open while your chats sync.
- No, it's a new number / not on WhatsApp — the number must not be registered on WhatsApp.
- It's on normal (personal) WhatsApp — this can't be connected as it is. Switch the number to the WhatsApp Business app first (then choose Yes), or delete the WhatsApp account on that number and choose No. No Connect button is shown for this option.
Then tap Connect WhatsApp Business. A Facebook (Meta) window opens. Log in, choose or add your business, and pick the phone number customers should message. When it finishes, you'll see WhatsApp is connected 🎉. If it doesn't finish within about 30 seconds, or you close the window, you'll see a message saying why, and a Retry button.
Not ready yet? Connect later from Settings
Tap I'll do this later to go to your dashboard. When you're ready, open Settings and choose the option that matches your number, then use Connect WhatsApp in the WhatsApp connection card.
Example
storefrontPerfect Fit Tailors
Ramesh signs up, picks Tailor, and connects his shop's number. A customer messages "price for blouse stitching" at 10 pm, and ApnaBot replies with his price list straight away.
Good to know
- The connection uses Meta's official WhatsApp sign-up, so you need a Facebook account that can manage your business.
- The Meta window decides which numbers can be connected. If it refuses your number, follow what it says there.
- Until you connect a number, your dashboard shows Your WhatsApp number isn't connected yet. Customers can't reach the bot until you connect.
- Once connected, the WhatsApp connection card in Settings shows your number, the connection type (WhatsApp Business app + ApnaBot or ApnaBot only) and, right after you connect, the verified name and its status. It also reminds you to add a payment method in WhatsApp Manager so Meta can bill you for business-initiated messages.
- If connecting fails, the message on screen is the reason (for example the number is already connected to another business). Fix that and tap Retry.
- To stop the bot completely, use Disconnect in Settings → WhatsApp connection. The bot stops replying until you connect again.
